Waldo S. Zimmerman, 64, of Ottawa, died Thursday, July 5 at Camelot Terrace in Streator. Mr. Zimmerman was born August 6, 1942 in Peru to Garner and Ada Fay (Zimmerman) Davis. He was U. S. Marine Veteran. He was an iron worker for PDM in Marseilles and then later, he was a mechanic for Illinois Valley Disposal in Ottawa.
He also sold ZGEMS. Mr. Zimmerman is survived by three daughters, Jacki (Tom) Salzman of South Ottawa Township, Amy (Dave) McIntire of Granville and Stacy Beard of Rockford; 7 grandchildren, Lindsey Gehl, Sarah Timmons, Austin and Justin McIntire, Haley, Megan and Cassidy Beard; one brother, Lorence (Ruth) Davis of Dayton; 5 step-sisters, Eileen Wonder, Marilyn Thomas, Doris Meyer all of Ottawa, Loretta Feldman of Wanakee, Wisconsin and Martha Spicer of Watanga, Texas; 3 step-brothers, Clair (Barb) Davis of Streator, Carl (Janice) Davis of Omaha, Nebraska and Larry Davis of Princeville, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Jamie Zimmerman and two brothers, Lloyd and Wayne Davis. Memorials may be directed to the family.
