Waldemar “Walt” Koenig, 77, of Lebanon, beloved husband of Donna (Cranick) Koenig, passed away Friday (Sept. 22, 2017) at Hartford Hospital. Born Nov. 13, 1939 in Puoski, Poland, he was the son of the late Gustav and Hulda (Neuman) Koenig. His family emigrated to the United States in 1952 and settled in Lebanon, where Walt graduated from Lyman Memorial. He enlisted in the Army and served proudly in post-war Korea. Walt went on to study at both Hartford State Technical College and later ECSU, earning his Bachelor’s degree. Over the years, Mr. Koenig worked in various technical positions and lastly as a computer programmer for the State of CT before his retirement.
