Colebrook: Wahneta M. Dustin, 90 of Colebrook River Road, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the wife of the late Irving H. Dustin who died in 1997. Born in Winsted, August 21, 1918, daughter of the late George L. and Leila M. (Phillips) Palmer, she moved to Colebrook at the age of 6 months, then to Colebrook River where she attended school and lived until the Metropolitan District Commission bought all the homes there, then moved to the Robertsville section of Colebrook where she lived for the rest of her life. She enjoyed her home, her friends and neighbors and loved all the animals she cared for over the years. Her survivors include a niece, Maureen A. Prelli and her husband Philip of Barkhamsted; a nephew Geroge D. Palmer and his wife Elaine of New Hartford; two grandnieces and two great grandnieces and two great grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Harry G. Palmer and a niece, Linda M. Smith.
