Wade Joseph Bailey, age 93, lifelong resident of Nokesville, VA passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on March 8, 1923 in Nokesville, VA the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Louise A. (Gough) Bailey. He was the former owner of the Bailey’s Amoco Gas Station in Alexandria and Vienna. He served our country in the US Army during WW II and received a Purple Heart. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin G. Bailey. Survivors include his loving wife, Edith Victoria Bailey; five children, Wade S, Bailey and wife Barbara, Sharon L. Burnette, Diane V. Bailey-Shipp, Devra S. Murphy, Wilford C. Bailey; one sister, Hazel Martino; nine grandchildren, Angelic B. Poe, Charles N. Adcox, Kevin M. Burnette, Kelly L. Shipp, William J. Murphy, Ashley N. Shipp, Wade P. Murphy, Sean G. Murphy and Avery B. Bailey and eight great grandchildren, Bailey G. Poe, Devin M. Hollingsworth, Gavin Adcox, Zachary V. Poe, Madison G. Calles, Adriana R. Burnette, Paisley G. Patterson and Ryker J. Burnette.
