He was born July 1, 1954, in Eugene, Oregon, to Royal Keith Rauch and Wilma Lea Hall Rauch. He grew up and attended schools in Oregon, Utah, and Idaho Falls and later received his GED. He continued his education by attending Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC).
He married Vickie Jenkins in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later divorced. On August 14, 2017, he married Sheila Ann McClure in Idaho Falls. He worked as a delivery driver for a thrift store.
Keith enjoyed the outdoors, rock hounding, over-the-road trucking, traveling, and bead and leatherwork.
