W. Harrold Kingery, the son of Elmer and Birdie E. (Brown) Kingery, was born July 4, 1928 in Newton, Iowa. He attended Newton High School and was a lifelong resident of Newton. Harrold served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After returning from the war, he joined the Newton Police Department as a police officer in 1954.
On March 6, 1965, Harrold, was united in marriage to Judith A.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Willa; a son, Duane in infancy; and his two brothers, Larry “Wink” and Clarence Kingery. Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Judy; his two sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Joyce Kingery and Ron Kingery, all of Newton; his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Eric Eirikson of Albion, Iowa; three grandchildren, Christopher and Jenny Eirikson and KaCee DeKoning; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Irene Kingery and Clifford “Buzz” and Carol Kingery; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mabel Hobs and Myrt and Herb Schwarz, all of Newton; and his two sister-in-laws, June Kingery of Kellogg, Iowa and Sandy Kignery of Des Moines, Iowa.
