W. Dale Keltner, 88, of Jacksonville, IL died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Heritage Health in Jacksonville.
He was born March 15, 1925 in rural Alexander, IL, the son of Otis L. and Lelah Goodall Keltner. He married Mardelle Maurer on August 1, 1947 in Jacksonville and she survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Sandra Hayes (husband, Steve) of Pisgah; a son, Danny Keltner (wife, Lynn) of rural Alexander; five grandchildren, Sean Walker, Erin Kalsto, Stephanie Chandler, Ashly Taylor, and Lyndi Boensel; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Keltner was a 1942 graduate of Ashland High School and a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Berea Christian Church and formerly served on the Prentice Farmers Elevator Board of Directors. Dale and his wife enjoyed square dancing and working in their yard.
