Vivian Rose Helmick, 71, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 18, 1945 in Hazard, Kentucky. Vivian was a proud member of the Dalton Church of God of the Union Assembly. She was a great mother and friend to everyone who knew her, and will be sadly missed. Known for her home cooking, and she loved growing tomatoes, and spending time with family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Miller and Lily Miller; sister, Edna Miller; brother, Winston Miller; son, Jolandon Helmick; grandson, Cory Revels; and also Daniel “Dan” Helmick. She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Kenneth and Mary Helmick of Rocky Face, GA, Charlie Helmick of Dalton, GA, Geraci Helmick of Dalton, GA; daughters and son in law, Melissa Roberts of Dalton, GA, Eva Lopez of Dalton, GA, Danielle and Brian Lewis of Dalton, GA; brother, Jimmy Miller of Rowdy, KY; sisters, Jeanette Davison Claywell of Tipp City, OH, Mary Hillard of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Chris Biester and Belinda, Tiffany Biester, Amber Revels, Chris and Star Adams Helmick, Nathan Helmick, Devin Helmick Pratt; and four great grandchildren.
