Vivian Hettrick, 89, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at the Pleasant View. Vivian was born December 6, 1930, in rural Johnson County, Iowa to James and Frieda (Hupp) Lacina. She was a graduate of the University of Iowa’s Nursing program. Vivian married William C. Hettrick on July 6, 1951, in Iowa City. She enjoyed hiking, being outdoors, and art.
She is survived by two sons, Brian (Chrysti) Hettrick, of Liberty, MO, and Jeff (Lisa) Hettrick, of Ottawa, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Ruby Nelson, of Arkansas, and Frieda Lacina and Norma Newell, both of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, two sisters, Arlene Fadness and Eunice Soper, and a brother, Kenneth Lacina.
