Vivian Barker Davis, much loved Mama and Maw Maw age 85, passed away into the arms of Jesus Wednesday August 15, 2012. She was born May 10, 1927 in Danville to the late Allie Thomas Crowder and the late Ottie Vivian Abbott Crowder. Mrs. Davis was married to the late Ronald Davis. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and family and friends always giving a helping hand to anyone in need. Prior to her retirement she worked for Merita Bakery for 20 years as a manager in the thrift store and she loved to cook Mrs. Davis is survived by one daughter; Sylvia Adkins and husband Thomas of Danville: one son; Jerry Barker and wife Sandra of Gretna, VA: one sister Bessie Long of Yancyville, NC: one brother Jack Crowder of Pelham, NC: four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by several sisters and brothers.
