Virginia Sherrell Stansell Clifton
Virginia Sherrell Stansell Clifton passed away, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Golden Living Center – Briarwood in Tucker, GA. Born in Jackson, GA on September 12, 1923 she was one of twelve children of the late Joe Sherrell and Emma Mae Price Sherrell. Virginia married Arnold “Doc” Stansell and out of this union she had one son Charlie and two daughters Sandra and Gail.
Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Stansell in 1974; her second husband, Johnnie Clifton in 2004; and all of her siblings, Devenna Sherrell, Joe Sherrell, Herman Sherrell, Mary Sherrell Ross, Ann Lynch, Lena Bell Wofford, Cam Sherrell, Don Sherrell, Wayne Sherrell and 2 infants who died at birth. She is survived by her son, Charlie Stansell (JoAnn) of Loganville, GA; daughters, Gail Turner (Charles) of Washington, GA and Sandra Barnes (Milton) of Decatur, GA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren.
