Virginia DeJesus, 80, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Deacon Jamie DeJesus who died in 2008. Virginia was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, where she was a member of the choir, Cursillo, Marriage Encounter Group, and the Sacred Heart Society. She had a beautiful voice, and was affectionately know as the Deacon’s wife. Survivors: daughter Carmen Figueroa and husband Ray, sons Jamie, Jr., Arcadio, Angel; sisters Olga Ortiz all of Bethlehem, and Esperanza Ortiz; brother Jose Sanchez both of PR; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson.
