Virginia Rose Fairbanks Murphy Scott of Lexington, Kentucky, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away November 27, 2015 in Lexington, Kentucky. Virginia was born on September 16, 1923 in Terre Haute to William and Helen Stewart Fairbanks. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her three daughters, James H. Murphy, and her second husband James R. Scott. Virginia was also preceded in death by her brother, William M. Fairbanks and a sister in law Freida Fairbanks. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary E. Barron of Lexington, KY., Peggy Solomon and her husband Gus and Helen “Rene” Kester, all of Terre Haute. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jennifer Towns and her husband William, Jimmy Barron, Melissa Moore and her husband Christopher, Harry Barron Jr. and his wife Amy, Sean Kester and his wife Tanya. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her forever friend Shirley McCartney and her daughter Jane Totten.
