Virginia N. DuBord (“Ginny”), 88, of Danvers, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at her home after a lengthy illness. Ginny was the wife of the late Clifford E. DuBord. She was born in Freeland, PA on November 27, 1928, the daughter of Ercole A. and Nancy Bussolotta. She was raised in Bridgeport, CT and made her home with her husband and children in Monroe, CT for many years before relocating to Danvers. Ginny held a variety of clerical jobs in the Danvers area and served as the volunteer coordinator at the Danvers Senior Center for several years. She was active as a volunteer at the Great Oak School library while her younger daughter was in attendance there, and in recent years brought communion to the homebound of St. Mary’s parish. Always eager to learn, Ginny took several courses through Elderhostel and the Explorers Lifelong Learning Institute at Salem State University, traveled widely through Europe, and participated in book groups at the Peabody Institute Library. A lover of the arts and painting, she was an active member and volunteer of the Danvers Art Association. Her lively personality and conversation will be missed by many. Ginny is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Deborah DuBord of Horseheads, NY, two daughters, Michele Desaulniers of Minnetonka, MN and Regina DuBord of Ipswich, MA, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
