Virginia Mae Perkins, 89, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Creasy Springs Health Campus. She was born August 15, 1929, in Hoopeston, IL, to the late Teddy and Ruby Reynolds Bacon.
Virginia graduated from Ambia High School and received her nursing education from Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Onorato and Dr. Burns.
On September 21, 1952, she married Elmo Perkins in Ambia and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2006. She was a member of Stidham United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving is her daughter Pamela (Bob) Kearns of Glenmoore, PA, granddaughter, Kristen (Miguel) Flores of Chester Springs, PA, siblings Donald (Margaret) Bacon of Boswell, Marjorie (Clifford) Hall of Lafayette, and Teddy (Becky) Bacon of Pine Village.
