Virginia Louise Long, age 91 formerly of 715 Rhlway St. Martinsville died Saturday August 18, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Martinsville. She was born January 4, 1921 in Henry County to the late Arthur Gold Pace and the late Maggie Stultz Pace. Virginia was married to the late Percy G. Long which predeceased her in 1981. Mrs. Long was a member McCabe Memorial Baptist Church where she worked in the mission center and was a member of the Young at Heart club. She worked for Tultex Corporation as a Sewing Machine Operator. Mrs. Long is survived by one daughter: Nina Hall and husband Millard H. Hall of Martinsville: two grandchildren Ricky Hall and Elizabeth Smith: two great-grandchildren; Maggie Smith and Nichole Hall. In addition to her parent and husband she was predeceased by one son: Arthur G. Long: three sisters; Naomi Powell, Imajo Fisher and Mae Pape: one brother; Henry Pace: one grandchild; Chuckie Hall.
