Virginia L. Mang, 74 of Brighton, passed away peacefully January 10, 2013 at her home. She was born October 5, 1938 in Zelienople, PA to Harold and Helen (Stoughton) Barnhart. She graduated from high school in Pennsylvania where she stayed for many years, where she was an avid Steelers fan. She moved to Brighton seven years ago to be closer to her family.
Her joy in life was taking care of children here in Brighton. She loved gardening and really loved baking. She shared her yummy treats with everyone. Virginia never knew a stranger and had the heart and love of a true mother. She was a loving mother and was loved in return by everyone and she will be greatly missed!
Virginia is survived by her children, Heather (Al) Matuke of North Platte, NE and Eric (Pam) Mang of Brighton; siblings, H. Eugene Barnhart of Porters Ville, PA, Audrey Altemus of Gibsonia, PA, Ev Semel of Fort Meyers, FL, Jackie Nickita of Zelienople, PA, Walter Barnhart of Freedom, PA, Dixie Leonard of Erie, PA and Larry Barnhart of Zelienople, PA and two grandchildren, Steven and Christopher.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, one sister and two brothers.
