Virginia L. Cummings, age 96, of Salem died at 6:31 a.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013 at her home of congestive heart failure. She was born September 19, 1917 in Beloit the daughter of the late Wilbur and Edith (Maris) Hurford. She had a motor route for the Salem News for 20 years and was a housewife. Mrs. Cummings was a member of East Goshen Friends Church and a 1935 graduate of Goshen High School. Her husband, Franklin G. Cummings, whom she married in 1939, preceded her in death in 1993. 2 sisters, Evelyn Sanderson and Helen Townsend, and a brother, Robert K. Hurford, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, David L. Cummings of Salem; 3 daughters, Bonnie K. (Robert) Rambo and Linda S. Stroup both of Salem and Sandra W. (Ron Sr.) Williams of Sebring; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
