Virginia Katherine (Miner) Ballard, 84 of Gallipolis, OH, passed away after an extended illness, Friday, November 5, 2010 at Holzer Senior Care, Gallipolis, OH. She was born in Tunnelton, WV, on December 31, 1925, a daughter of the late John H. and Bertha A. Davis Miner. Virginia graduated from Tunnelton High School in 1943. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an expert seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Morris J. Ballard; three brothers; Delbert, Howard, and Oren Miner; one Sister, Arravelva (Sally) Phipps. She is survived by two sons, William Ballard and wife Charlene of Gallipolis, OH, Michael Ballard and wife Millie of Barboursville, WV; granddaughter, Sheri Ballard; two sisters, Betty Hartley, Union, WV and Mary Ellen Wiles, Rowlesburg, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
