BARKHAMSTED -JESPERSEN – Virginia "Ginny" Jespersen, of Old North Road, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2007. She was the loving wife of Donald Jespersen Sr. for 59 years. Born February 22, 1927 in Winsted, CT; the daughter of the late Charles and Louise (Samburgh) Anstett. She was a longtime member of the Riverton Congregational Church as well as serving as a Deacon at the church and Church Historian. She was also a member of the Women’s Fellowship, The Riverton Grange and the Riverton Fair Association. Her family was her whole life. In addition to her devoted husband, Donald, she is survived by two sons, Donald Jespersen Jr. and his wife Dawn of Barkhamsted and Peter Jespersen and his companion Karen Palmer of Barkhamsted; two daughters, Gail Lavoie and her husband Ray of Goshen and Nancy Galpin and her husband Frank of Barkhamsted; a sister, Gladys Seger of Simsbury; five grandchildren, Kyle Jespersen of Barkhamsted, Tiffany Gough of Bloomfield, Aaron Lavoie of Goshen, Sarah Galpin of Barkhamsted and Tim Galpin of Barkhamsted; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 7 brothers, Frank Anstett, Roy Anstett, Harry Anstett, Charles Anstett, Arthur Anstett, Kenneth Anstett and Clarence Anstett; and two sisters, Florence Finn and Mildred Neal.
