Ginny was born on June 18, 1942, in Lafayette, to the late Bernard A. “Ozzy” and Isabel J. “Izzy” (Bockelmann) Oswald.

Ginny married Francis Eugene “Gene” Klinker on February 16, 1961, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2017.

Ginny graduated from Central Catholic High School in June 1960. She graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in May 1975 with her RN degree. She immediately began her career with St. Elizabeth Hospital. In April 2001, she accomplished her long-time goal of earning a Bachelor of Science, in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after 33 years of service on January 31, 2009. She loved being a nurse. She shared her nursing knowledge until her passing by educating her caretakers on how her care should be done.

Ginny had many hobbies. When her children were young, she made many adorable outfits for them. She enjoyed crocheting and crocheted many afghans and capes for family and friends. She eventually moved on to quilting and made many beautiful, quilted items. She went to many Indianapolis 500 races with Gene and other family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling.

Ginny is survived by her daughter, Valerie and her husband, Dwight Hardy, her son, Ray Klinker, her daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Thad Hainje, all of Lafayette, and her sister Betty Lineberger, and her husband, Ted, of Ocala, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

Ginny also has 8 grandchildren, Lauren Hainje (Steve) Davis, Leigh Hardy (Xander) Jakosa, Anthony (Alissa) Klinker. Lynne Hardy (Kraig) Brittain, Jordan Hainje (fiancé, Tyler Landers), Justin Klinker, Madison Hainje (Kent) Weast, and Nolan Klinker. Also surviving Ginny are 8 great-grandchildren with her 9th expected in June. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and great-grandchild Sebastian John Davis.
