Virginia Eloise Carey Tokar passed away peacefully March 20, 2009 at her home in Scottsdale. Virginia was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother – a friend to all she met. Born February 23, 1923 in Van Wert, Ohio, Virginia became a registered nurse and served as a First Lieutenant in the Air Force during the Korean War. Virginia was preceded in death by George David Carey, her husband of 49 years, and is survived by her husband of 11 years Louis Tokar. Her sons Kevin, Colin, Craig and Curt Carey, as well as 11 grandchildren survive her. A mother of 4, a friend to all, Virginia devoted her life to the enrichment of all she came in contact with through education and the love of her country. She lived by the motto “Can’t never did anything”. Her passion and spark will be missed.
