Virginia Elliott Stowe, 84, of 260 Stowe Lane, Dry Fork, VA died on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 after several months of declining health. Born June 10, 1927 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Beverly (B.T.) Elliott and the late Sally Jackson Elliott. She was married for 64 years to Wade Thomas Stowe who survives of the residence. She worked as a cloth inspector at Dan River, Inc. in her early years and also was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the family tobacco farm for many years. She graduated from Whitmell Farm Life School in 1945.
