Virginia (Jenny) Bartee, 89, of Neptune, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at home. She was born July 7, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA to John and Esther Harmon.
She moved to Asbury Park, NJ in 1943. Jenny was a member of St. Stevens A.M.E. Zion Church since 1946.
She worked for J. Kasliner Coat Factory for 30 years, she was employed as a barmaid for Frederick Dempsey American Legion Post 266, and later as a Ridge Avenue School Cafeteria Worker. She was also a member of 8/40, a life member American Legion Auxiliary Unit 266 and past Unit President, member of Elizabeth Bunn Elks Temple 677, and VFW Post 2639, Neptune, New Jersey, VFW of Pocomoke City, Maryland.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Esther Harmon; and one brother, William Harmon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her only daughter, Peggy Jones; two nieces; and a host of cousins and friends.
