Virginia Anne Cale, 70, of 9060 Sixth Ave., Norfolk, VA, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in Golden Living Center in Martinsville where she had been a resident for nine months. Born April 18, 1939 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Madeline Graham Derminer and the late Clement Derminer. She was married to Bernard Watkins Cale, Sr. who preceded her in death. Mrs. Cale was a self-employed health care provider and a registered nurse and was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by a daughter, Catherine A. French of Du Bois, PA, a son, Bernard W. Cale, Jr. and fiancé, Kim West of Danville, three sisters, Mary Jane Shannon of Hartford, CT, Rosemary Hudson of Marietta, GA and Helen Gormont of Rochester, NY, a brother, Charles Derminer of Cleveland, OH, four grandchildren, Kenny, Debbie, Chris and Kylie and seven great-grandchildren.
