Virgilio Sillano Remorca, 62, died Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Alameda Hospital in Alameda following a catastrophic stroke.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Edna A. Remorca; his son Vergel A. Remorca and his wife Diane V. Remorca; his daughter, Dianah R Rodriguez and her husband Juan M Rodriguez; his son Michael-Angelo A. Remorca; his granddaughter Audriana V. Remorca; and his siblings Teodora Ang Tarcila Matias, Veronica Tiongson, Avelina Agustine and Sylvester Remorca.

Born in raised in Manila, the son of Silvestre and Atanacia Remorca, he graduated from Saint Rita College in 1977 and became a licensed registered nurse.  He traveled to the United States in 1986 and established a home for his family. 

He has been a nurse at Alameda Hospital for over 30 years.  During that time, he has touched many people’s lives with his kindness, compassion and devotion to his work.  He began his Christian ministry in 1999 in the garage of his home, and is the founder of Fountain of Joy Ministries international.  It has since blossomed and even expanded into an international ministry in the Philippines.  He will be remembered for his humble leadership, his dedication to his family and loved ones and his unwavering faith in God.  He was a healer, a teacher, a musician a loving father and husband, and most importantly, a man who dedicated his life to serving God and others.
