Virgil E. Stewart, age 74, of Marianna passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at his home. He was a life long resident of Jackson County, of the Holiness faith and a member of the Potters House of Prayer. Mr. Stewart loved his music and played numerous instruments with the piano being his favorite. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Stewart, three children, a granddaughter, two brothers, George Stewart and Vernon Stewart and his sister Annie Bell Porter. Survivors include his wife Betty Jean Clemmons of Marianna, his son, Robert Stewart and wife Cathy of Lovedale, three stepsons, Wayne Clemmons and wife Becky of Bonifay, David Clemmons of Marianna, and Phillip Clemmons and wife Missy of Lynn Haven, six daughters; Joy Tipton, Gail Hunter and husband Charles, Ann Wester and husband Fauline, Lisa Stewart all of Sneads, Fl, Donna Brown and husband Billy of Grand Ridge, Fl, Linda Lee of Panama City, Fl., three brothers; Duvard Stewart of Altha, Fl., Dallas Stewart of Southport, Fl and John Stewart of Rocky Face, Ga., four sisters; Claudia Murphy, Marianna, Wanda Clark, Calhoun, Ga, Joyce Melvin, Fountain, Fl., Nell Marlow, Panama City, Fl., and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
