Mrs. Joseph (Violet) Grivetti, 85, of Ottawa, died on Saturday afternoon, December 23 at Rivershores Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Marseilles. Mrs. Grivetti was born on March 27, 1921, in Knifley, Kentucky to Henry and Lottie (Robinson) Thomas. She married Joseph Grivetti in Lake County, Indiana. She was a charter member of General Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of Ladies Aid and the Tuesday Morning Bible Study.

Mrs. Grivetti is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Robert) Sackse, of Dekalb, Donna (John) Boettlin, of Ottawa, and Jody Grivetti, of Ottawa six grandchildren Molly Toffa, Missy Sackse, Shelly Perkins Jamie Roberson, Terri Schmidt, and George Verne, Jr, 10 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Inez (Harold) Husted of Jacksonville, Florida, and Pauline (Joseph) Kelly, of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, three sisters, Flora Thomas, Clora Nelson, and Augusta Hettle, three Brothers, Sherman and Wayne Thomas, and Richard Reynolds.
