Violet May Buhl, 81, of Ashland, IL died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Heritage Health in Jacksonville, IL.
She was born June 23, 1931 in Pleasant Plains, IL; the daughter of George William and Daisy Conner Clements. She married Carl R. Buhl Sr. on February 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1989.
She is survived by three sons, Carl Buhl Jr. (wife, Rodi) of Lexington, David Buhl (wife, Melinda) of O’Fallon, and Bradley Buhl (wife, Jennifer) of Springfield; five daughters, Linda Noel of Springfield, Bonnie Bone (husband, Gary) of Benbrook, TX, Judy Clark (husband, Tom Jr.) of Springfield, Debra Lin (husband, Xian) of Springfield, and Tammy Brown (husband, Chris) of Jacksonville; 30 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Blundt of Springfield and Polly Taapken of Pleasant Plains; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six grandchildren; three brothers, Victor Conner, George “Jug” Clements, and Bob Clements; and two sisters, Lillie Eskew and Mary Ann Tice. Mrs. Buhl was a homemaker and a member of the Ashland Church of Christ.
