Winsted: Violet M. Stewart, 89, of 108 East Lake Street, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at Laurel Hill Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Lester Stewart who died in 1986. Born in Winsted, February 4, 1919, she was a daughter of the late James and Anna (Decker) Geneatte and had lived here all of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a waitress at Joe’s Lunch for meny years. Her survivors include her dear friend Joseph Parmalee also of Winsted.
