Violet M. Groesbeck, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the age of 95. She was born May 11, 1919, on Mother’s Day, to the late Charles W. and Minnie E. Curtis Cross. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1937. Violet was united in marriage to Carlton W. Groesbeck on September 25, 1937. He preceded her in death in February of 1995 after 58 years of marriage. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Violet is survived by her daughter, Lynnet Milton Bennett; 5 grandchildren, Michele Leonard, Craig Maria Dahlinger McIlroy, Kurt McIlroy, Jeffery Groesbeck and Todd Groesbeck; 2 great-grandchildren, Jason McIlroy and Kaylee McIlroy; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rodney Groesbeck; and brother, Daniel Cross.
