Muncie-Violet Fern Barrows, 71, passed away Tuesday evening, January 7, 2014, at her residence unexpectedly. She was born on November 19, 1942, in Muncie, the daughter of Herbert and Reba (Hushaw) Dillon.
Ms. Barrows is a 1958 graduate of Muncie Central High School and later attended Ball State University. Violet had worked as an account representative for Saint- Gobain Corporation for 12 years prior to her retirement in 2007. She loved to be with her dog Doogie and cat Sidney. Violet also enjoyed family times with her grandchildren such as watching movies and doing crafts. Ms. Barrows also was known to have done knitting and crochet work. She loved to travel especially going to the beach.
Survivors include, three daughters, Susan Heath (husband-Jerry) Daleville, Denise DeLaMontanya (husband-John), Hercules, California and Danya Barrows, Sacramento, California; three sons, William McCammon (wife-Cynthia), Muncie, Scott McCammon(wife-Mary), Pendleton and Joe McCammon (wife-Robin), Leesville, South Carolina; fourteen grandchildren, Mary, Chuck, Marlena, Hanna, Laura, Courtney, Mackensie, Dylan, Harry, Jarod, Ethan, Hunter, Elizabeth and Peter; three great grandchildren, Haley, Miranda and Natalie; one sister, Nola Pippin, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, David Barrows in 2009; her parents, one brother, Albert Dillon and Step mother, Guelda Dillon.
