Violet Cook Walker Wyles, 79, of 90 Penny Lane, Pelham, NC died Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC. Born June 12, 1930 in Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late Herman Daniel Cook and the late Nannie Wade Cook. She attended Pelham United Methodist Church and was formerly employed as an apartment manager for North Hills Apartments of Danville for VIP Management in Virginia Beach. She is survived by daughters, Debra Vernon and husband, David of Pelham and Sabrina Cornell of Danville; a son-in-law, Archie Covington of Providence; a special nephew, Clyde Cook, Jr. of Pelham; her grandchildren, Brian Watson and wife, Stephanie, Kevin Vernon and wife, Debbie and Jessica Paylor, Sandra Drennan and husband, Chuck, Jonathan Turner, Kirstie Perry, Kody Van Allen and Crystal Van Allen; and her great-grandchildren, Madison Vernon and Andy Watson. She was also mother and grandmother for many foster children she cared for over the years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Vickie Covington and two brothers, Luther Cook and Clyde Cook, Sr.
