Viola B. Coolman, 98, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Thursday morning, February 10, 2011 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in St. Joseph, Michigan. Viola was born February 29, 1912 in Fort Wayne Indiana to William and Iva Mary (Mallott) Cantwell.

She married Carl R. Coolman on February 24, 1933 in Fort Wayne. They moved to Michigan and made their home in Three Oaks where Carl farmed and she enjoyed being a farmers wife. She was a 4 H Leader, a member of the Rebekah Lodge # 309, and belonged to the First Congregational Church of Three Oaks. She was a terrific grandmother to all her grandchildren and will be missed.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Edward Scurek and Carl (Tina) Scurek of Three Oaks, Sue (Raymond) Terpening of Harrison, Michigan and Kathy (Stan) Kniola of Michigan City, Indiana; great grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, Alivia, James and Melissa Scurek; Donna Hicks and Stan (Nicky) Kniola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Baker and grandson, Raymond Terpening.
