Vinnie C. Cross Buchanan, 103, Anderson, passed away June 8, 2012, at Monticello House-Anderson, after a brief illness. She was born March 20, 1909, in Albany, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson since 1925. Vinnie retired in 1970 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 38 years of service. She was a farmer.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Buchanan Scott of Pendleton; daughter-in-law, Mary Lawrence; grandchildren, Dennis Joni Scott, Nancy Gordon Mautz, Lisa Scott, Larry Diane Lawrence, Danny Marsha Lawrence and Carol Jim Koons; ten great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Hester Cross Smith; son, Ralph Lawrence; son-in-law, William Scott; grandchild, Barry Lawrence; and 18 brothers and sisters.
