MONROE – Vincent John Eagan, Jr., 77, died August 1, 2015.
Mr. Eagan was born January 5, 1938 in Johnstown, PA, and was the son of the late Vincent J. and Sara J. Howarth Eagan. He served in several branches of the military for his country, and worked significant time in the steel industry and United States Postal Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Rebecca Dawn Eagan; sisters, Mary Jane Cook and Anna Marie Hileman.
Surviving are his loving wife, Ivy G. (Shultz) Eagan; son, Thomas Eagan of Gaithersburg, MD, daughter, Tracey L. Eagan of Monroe, and son, Vincent J. Eagan, III also of Monroe. Mr. Eagan is also survived by his brother, Milton R. Eagan and wife, Mary of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers-in-law William Cook of Johnstown, PA and Jack Hileman of Hollidaysburg, PA; brother-in-law, Clarence Shultz and wife, Patty of Portage, PA; and sister-in-law, LaVerne June Vann of Johnstown, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Vincent loved and supported his family, and loved his God. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Mineral Springs.
