Vincent Jay Wilson went home to be with his Lord on March 24, 2010. He was born on October 18, 1928 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Fred D. and Helyn Wilson. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1946, enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country following World War II in Japan as a medic. Following his tour of duty he received his associate degree at Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, KS. He married his high school sweetheart, Rosalie Marie Brown and raised two children, Bartley and Christina, in Wichita, Kansas. Lifetime Achievements: Superintendent of Safeway Meat Processing Plant, President of Safeway Credit Union, Wichita President of Wichita Motor Carriers Association Served in Boy Scouts of America as Scoutmaster receiving numerous awards Member of the American Legion Post 18-VFW post 1254 in Arkansas City, KS. Served in a variety of capacities in local Lutheran Missouri Synod churches. Vice President and General Manager of Wilcor Inc. in Pasadena Texas where he retired in 1993 to take care of his aging parents. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents Fred W. and Helyn Baldwin Wilson, his mother and father-in-law, Stella and Kenneth Johnson. He is survived by his wife Rosalie, their son Bartley and his wife Debbie Wilson, daughter Christina and husband Scott Cathey of Wichita, KS, his two brothers, Rodney and Fred Wilson, their wives, children and great grandchildren. In addition he and Rosalie share 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
