Vincent Bass, Jr., age 58, of Kingston, succumbing to a long illness, passed away at home on the morning of February 7, 2020 . Vinnie was born on March 30, 1961, the son of Marion and Vincent Bass Sr., in Boston, MA. His family eventually moved to Carver, where he attended the Plymouth school system. After school Vinnie entered the construction field, specializing in home improvement renovations including roofing, siding, and decks. Sustaining an injury, he left construction and moved to Woodland, Maine to work alongside his father in a restaurant business. Missing his other friends and family, Vinnie eventually moved back to the Plymouth area and continued a short stint in the restaurant industry. Missing the satisfaction of working with tools, he eventually returned to the carpentry trade as his occupation until health issues prevented him from continuing any longer. An avid lover of sports, Vinnie’s prize possessions were his extensive football and baseball card collections, a hobby he continued with throughout all his adult years. Vinnie was an independent soul living life on his terms, but always held a deep love for his family. He was especially close to his nephew John Bass Jr, and his wife Michele of Plymouth, MA. Vinnie was pre-deceased by his Mother, Marion C. (Schenck) Bass, his father Vincent Bass, Sr., and his brother John Bass Sr. He is survived by his brother and sisters, Cheryl Scibisz and her husband Dan of Ipswich, Rosemarie Pinheiro and her husband David of Norton, Brian Bass and his wife Michele of Plymouth and Heather Bass and her husband Sam Blalack of Florida.
