Vina J. (Friestad) Rowe, 97, of Ottawa, passed away on Thursday morning, December 5, 2019, at Pleasant View.
Vina was born on February 10, 1922 in Irvington, IA to John and Johane Lindanger (Nelson) Friestad. She married C. Raymond Rowe on December 28, 1941 in Stillman Valley, IL. She and her husband were life-long farmers in Grand Rapids Township.
Vina was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, in Ottawa. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Tina) Rowe, of Marseilles, Larry (Susan) Rowe, of Springfield, IL, and Randall (Denise Worley) Rowe, of Las Vegas, NV, eight grandchildren Eric, Adam, Jeff, and Brian Rowe, Tammy Langas, Kelly Vaiciulis, Nikki Kuhlman, and Natalie Alexander, 16 great grandchildren, and three brothers, Leroy (Norma) Friestad, of Leeds, AL, Russell Friestad, of Indio, CA, and Edwin Friestad, of DeKalb, IL.She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, on February 3, 2011, a son Roger, and his wife June, a daughter-in-law, Tina Q. Rowe, four sisters, Selma Nelson, Alma Nieters, Verna Diss, and Sylvia Feery, and two brothers, John and Richard Friestad.Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
