Victor F. Vena, 92, of Holiday City at Berkeley, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived there for most of his life before moving to Toms River in 1991. Victor was a US Army WWII Veteran, attaining the rank of Private First Class. He worked in the Service Repair Department of Sears in Livingston, NJ for many years, retiring in 1989.

Victor was a lifelong parishioner of St. Paul Greenville RC Church, Jersey City until retirement and then a parishioner at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the 3rd Order Carmelite-Virgin Mother of Carmel Fraternity, Lakewood, NJ, the Cursillo Movement in Christianity and the Disabled American Veterans. He was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2012, brothers Michael Vena, Dante (Sonny) Vena and a sister Catherine Esposito.

Surviving are his children Thomas Vena of South Orange, NJ, John Vena of Old Bridge, NJ, Joseph Vena of Monroe Twp., Margaret Mary Saidel of Toms River and Elizabeth Ann La Penna of Cheshire, CT, his sisters Lucy “Dolly” DeLitizia of Middletown, NJ, Norma Woodvine of FL, Margaret Cosmanic of Las Vegas, NV, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
