Victor D. Howe, age 71 of Hartland, MI died Thursday morning September 24, 2015, at his residence.

The son of the late Victor and Madeline (McMillan) Howe was born on June 24, 1944, in Midland and raised in Sanford, graduating from Midland High School in 1962.

Victor served with the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967. On September 20, 1969, he married the former Wanda Lower in Sanford.

Victor joined the Highland Park Police Department in 1969 where he worked until his retirement in 1994.

He studied Criminal Justice at Mercy College in Detroit. After his retirement, he then worked for the Detroit Medical Center for eighteen years in security. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Brighton and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with grandkids.

Victor is survived by his wife Wanda; one son Scott Howe of Warren, MI, and one daughter, Sheila (Anthony) Ercolani of Bonita Springs, FL. He is also survived by grandchildren Brenden, Natalie, Brayden, Andrea, and Anthony; his sister Ann Pomranky of Midland; brother, Dennis Howe of Sanford; brothers-in-law, Terry Lower, Jerry (Marla) Lower; sister-in-law Sherry Moe and many nieces and nephews.

Victor was predeceased by his parents, brothers-in-law, John Pomranky, and Gary Moe; father and mother-in-law, Tony and Ola Leigeb.
