Vicky Lee Roy, “Ozaahwanagoquay” which means “Yellow Star Woman”, age 52, began her journey to the spirit world on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.  She was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 7, 1967 to Arlene (Roy) Jourdain and John Joe Stately.

Vicky loved spending time with her family and friends.  She loved to joke around and laugh, she was known for her sense of humor.  Vicky really enjoyed going for her “evening cruise”.  For many years, Vicky worked for the Red Lake School District as a para-professional; she also worked at the family owned Westbrook Store.  Vicky’s presence will be missed in all of our lives.

She is welcomed to the spirit world by her mother; Arlene Jourdain, sister; Marcella Roy, granddaughter; Angel Hart, stepfather; William “Butch” Jourdain, several aunties, uncles and cousins.

Those left behind to forever cherish her memory are her life-long partner; Darrell May, Sr. of Red Lake, her children; Darrell May, Jr. and Tiffany Roy both of Red Lake, brother; Clayton (Karyn) Jourdain, Sr. of Red Lake, sister; Kelly Ann (Russell) Andree of Red Lake, grandbabies; Adrian, Benny and Katelyn, aunties; Judy Roy, Marilyn Westbrook and Rosalie Jourdain, uncles; Larry Roy, Sr. and Thomas “Jambi” Westbrook, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
