Veronica Nowak, 89, of Michigan City, Indiana and formerly of New Buffalo, Michigan died Sunday morning, January 23, 2011 at The Arbors of Michigan City. Mrs. Nowak was born February 16, 1921 in London, England to Albert and Julia (Lancas) VonFredrickdorf.
Her family moved to the United States where she made her home. Mrs. Nowak was employed by Montgomery Wards and Spiegel’s Department Stores before her retirement. She was a member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary of South Bend, Indiana and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith community. She enjoyed music, the opera and ballroom dancing. She is survived by her son, Bruce (Sheryal) Nowak of New Buffalo and grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Leslie, Rick and Courtney.
