Mr. Vernon P. Holman Sr.

Lunenburg – Vernon P. Holman, Sr. 75, of Lunenburg, died June 12, 2014, in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, shortly after being stricken ill at home.
He was born December 12, 1938, in Leominster, son of Paul V. and Arlene Holman. He was a graduate of St. Leo’s Elementary School and attended St. Bernard’s High School. Mr. Holman was the founder of V.P. Holman Construction of Leominster. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #406 in Leominster, North Leominster Rod and Gun Club, Leominster Lodge of Elks #1237, Lake Shirley Association, Sail Boat Club, Snowmobile Club. He was the Past President of Pop Warner Football. He built three fields at St. Bernard’s High School a girl’s softball field, soccer field, and a baseball field which they named Holman Field after him. Vern loved Lake Shirley, as well as hunting, golfing, sailing, gardening,& skiing.
He was predeceased by his father Paul V. Holman.
