VERNON COCKRILL, age 77 of Manassas, Virginia formerly of Loudoun County died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at his home. He was born April 8, 1925 in Fairfax County, Virginia son of the late Robert Thomas and Bertie Robey Cockrill. Mr. Cockrill was a U.S. Army veteran and had retired from the National Park Service. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Leroy, Rudolph, Warren and Arthur Cockrill. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Mae Rose Cockrill, three daughters, Donna Jean Robinson and husband, Marcus of Middletown, VA, Sue Baldwin and husband, Mike of Remington, VA and Karen Crabtree and husband, Randy of Clifton, VA, one sister, Carrie Dimsey, of Manassas, VA, one brother, Johnny Cockrill, of Purcellville, VA, 12 grandchildren, Michelle, Tammy, Jenny, Crystal, Jamie, Matthew, Jessica, Sommer, MW, Nathan, Joshua and Laura and 6 great-grandchildren, Michael, Mathew, Katelyn, Taylor, James Vernon, Jr. and Eli.
