Verne Ray Bachman, 83, departed this life on the evening of Saturday, July 11, 2020 at his home with his loving wife of 35 years by his side, Linda (Torchia) Bachman.
He is also survived by Trent Bachman of Henry, Illinois, Michael Sapienza of Highland, Illinois, Laura Hollerich of Kenilworth, Illinois and Marvin Bachman of Clearwater, Florida; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Evaline Bachman and brother, Garland Bachman.
He was a kind and generous man that loved boating and traveling and enjoyed socializing with family and friends and was most of all a proud grandfather.
Verne was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a owner/operator for RJR Transportation in El Paso, Illinois for 30 years before retiring to Port Saint Lucie, Florida in 2002.
