Vernadine P. Whitt, 87 of Peru and formerly of Tonica, died at 2:12 PM June 11, 2016 in Illinois Valley Community Hospital.
Mrs. Whitt was born in Olney on February 23, 1929 to James and Ella Schell. She worked at Westclox, then Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Peru and retired as a Home Health Care Aid.
Mrs. Whitt is survived by one son Kevin W. Whitt of Tonica; five grandchildren, Ryan, Brad, Nikki, Kevin Jr. and Jesse; Kevin’s in- law’s, Gloria(Russell)Perkins of Sheridan. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Lisa and five brothers.
