On June 5, 1949, Verna married Willard Spahr at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elk Slough, NE (Malcolm, NE). Verna worked as a homemaker and was also a cook at the Seward Country Club and Standard Café. Verna and Willard farmed southwest of Seward, NE. They would have been married 64 years in June. She was a good cook and baker. Verna passed away on May 5, 2013 in Seward, NE at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 15 days. Verna is survived by her husband, Willard Spahr, Seward, NE; daughters, Larrie (Robert) Daniels, Lincoln, NE, Gayle Spahr, Seward, NE; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schweitzer, Seward, NE. Verna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Spahr; brothers, Lorenz Lindner, Alfred Lindner, Leonard (Florence) Lindner; sisters, Lora (Henry) Schulz, Leona (Ervin) Schmieding, Vera (Clarence) Schmieding.
