Verla Alma Tollefson passed away on June 25, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Verla was born March 31, 1919 in Nampa Idaho. She was the sixth of seven children born to Albert and Samantha Young. Verla attendedNampa schools, graduating from Nampa High School in 1937. She went on to nursing school and became a registered nurse in 1940.
She married Clayton Tollefson from South Dakota on May 4, 1941. They lived in Caldwell for a short time and then moved to Nampa where they remained for the rest of their lives.
Whatever house they lived in, Verla made it a warm and loving home. Her family was the center of her life. She was an extremely devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was always involved with her children’s activities, whatever they might be.
