LAKELAND – – Mrs. Vera Mae Carroll, 95, passed away of natural causes Friday, January 4, 2013. Born December 14, 1917 in Clarksville, FL, Mrs. Carroll moved to Lakeland in 1922.
Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, Marvin Carroll; brothers, Edgar, Joseph and Tillman; and sisters, Verna and Lida. She is survived by daughter, Judy (Dan) Valentine; sister, Elizabeth Matthews; grandchildren, Greg (Krissa) Valentine and Deeann Porche; great grandchildren, Stefanie, Sara, Emily and Sean; and great great grandchildren, Meghan, Caelum and Corbin. Carol is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
